Exciting news from the DigiLearn project: our new online learning platform for seniors is officially live!
Developed by the DigiLearn consortium, the platform has been designed to support older adults in building digital skills while discovering new ways to learn, connect, and stay curious in an increasingly digital world. The idea is simple: create an accessible and welcoming space where seniors can explore technology at their own pace and gain confidence along the way.
The platform guides learners through 4 engaging modules designed to support seniors in developing digital skills while strengthening their confidence and motivation to keep learning.
Learners are first introduced to the principles of geragogy and digital learning for seniors, exploring how adults acquire knowledge and how digital tools can be used safely and effectively in everyday life. The journey continues with a module dedicated to developing a growth mindset, encouraging participants to approach learning as an ongoing opportunity to grow and explore new digital possibilities.
Users can then strengthen their media and information literacy through practical activities designed to improve online communication, information search, and engagement in digital communities. Finally, the platform provides guidance on how to manage one’s own learning process, offering strategies to stay motivated, set personal goals, and develop effective study habits.
